Lubin Baptist Church Plant Retreat

On the 27th and 28th of March, 2009 the Lubin Baptist Church Plant is going to have a retreat. Bob and Agnes Lee have been invited to come and help us as a church to think through various aspects of church life. We will talk about the various ministries that we currently have and how church "members" and "non-church members" can be involved. What are the leaders, missionaries and lay people responsibilities?

There will also be a question and answer time. I am sure that many good questions will pop up and good discussion will follow. :)

King's English Study

As of February 20, 2009 The King's English Study started. It is basically a one hour English lesson using the Bible as the text. After the study we have supper together. If you are in town and would like to attend we meet every Friday at 18.00. Everyone is invited.

Dictation 2009

On February 28, 2009 we had our English Dictation contest held at the 1st Liceum of Lubin. There were about 120 students from Middle and High Schools from Lubin as well as other towns in the general area. We enjoyed working together with the English teachers from the 1st Liceum. The texts that were read were about the American flag as well as American culture.

Skouting Mountain Trip

On the 21st of February our skouting group took a trip to the mountains where we hiked up to the top of the mountian and slid down. :) We had plenty of snow and ... fun. On our way home we stopped in town for a bite to eat - Pizza.

New Year 2009

On the evening of December 31, 2008 some of us gathered together at the Coffee House to celebrate. We played games, looked at pictures, set off fireworks, ate, but most importantly we spent some time in the Bible and prayed.

Winter Break 2009 - Zimowisko

This year we had a Winter Break camp at the Coffee House. Kids came for three days in a row to play games, sing, do crafts and have a Bible story.

Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 quickly came and went. Our "Logos" Language Center had it's Christmas party for the kids and adults. Some of us went to Ścinawa (Ladies Shelter) to visit but also to sing around the yearly Nativity display they set up in front of the home. On Christmas Day there was a special Worship service for the Baptist Church plant of Lubin. We had a good time together celebrating Christ's birth.
